A story that began with Julius II Della Rovere

Over the course of 50 plates, readers will be able to follow the adventures of Marc, a young Swiss man whose desire to join the Guard Corps will lead him to leave his small village to take up arms in the Vatican.
For more than half a century, the Swiss Guard has been protecting the Popes and the State of the Church. It all began on 22 January 1506, when Pope Julius II della Rovere established the corps of papal soldiers who today wear a uniform inspired by a Raphael fresco.
Following the entry of a young recruit, this comic book for adults and children traces in colour the history, life and rules of one of the smallest and oldest armies in the world.
