Italian excellencies on exhibition in Zurich: what a success!

On Sept. 10, 2022 at the Schweizerisch-italienisches Kunstgymnasium (High School of Art) in Zurich, the first edition, organized by the “Swiss Federalism” association, with the sponsorship of the Zurich Com.it.es Le eccellenze italiane in mostra a Zurigowas held

The event was held in a beautiful setting surrounded by greenery in the Zürich-Enge district at the Schweizerisch-italienisches Kunstgymnasium (High School of Art) attended by 32 companies and several institutional representatives, as well as an excellent attendance.

  • Tenuta Canei of Winterthur (Zurich) a company specializing in oil and wine production in Corigliano d’Otranto, in the province of Lecce.

  • Event boost of Chiasso (Ticino), which presented its platform, to easily and efficiently manage events

The day in brief

The event opened with a welcome from Andrea Schenone, president of Swiss Federalism,, the Swiss association organizing the event, who outlined its activities in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting the Swiss federalist system and the day’s program.

Italian Consul in Zurich Min. Plen. Gabriele Altana gave a brief speech welcoming this initiative in support of “Made in Italy” and “Made by Italy,” a theme that is close to the heart of the Italian Foreign Ministry. Italian exports in recent years have grown significantly and have helped support the Italian economy.

After the Consul of Zurich, Anna Putrino, Vice-President of the Com.It.Es. of Zurich who sponsored the event and considered it commendable, took the floor and emphasized the importance of strengthening the union between “Made in Italy” and the Swiss community, which greatly appreciates Italian products.

The floor was then passed to Michele Scala, President of the Lausanne Com.It.Es. and the inter Com.It.Es. Switzerland who participated in a private capacity considering it an innovative event of its kind and wishing for the organization of a similar event in Lausanne.

At the end of these speeches, a networking moment took place in which the participating companies presented their products and services to the audience present, thus allowing them to taste and learn more about the specialties on offer.

Then the event continued with the presentation of some partner companies of Swiss Federalism namely Asset Management Switzerland AG, EXP Consulting and Nadia Dal Bianco entrepreneur and the jury members Gaetano Nuovo, Product manager in the banking sector providing support to the enterprise commission of the Com.It.Es of Zurich, Emanuele Gargiulo Business Analyst, Mauro Di Martino Councilor Com.It.Es of Lugano, Vincenzo Ingui Councilor Com.It.Es of Basel.

The floor was then passed to the various participants in the event who presented their company and their products or services, showing some videos or powerpoint slides from the stage.

At the end of the presentation, the jury met to rank the participating companies while networking and convivial activities continued in the hall.

Before the awards ceremony, the Honorable Simone Billi, as Chairman of the Italians in the World Committee at the Italian Parliament, took the floor and stressed the importance of this type of event as the institution he represents has as its goal the support and enhancement of Made in Italy, praising the organizers of the event.

Lastly, Gerardo Petta spoke as President of the Zurich Com.It.Es who thanked and praised the organizers of the event.

At the end, the top 3 ranked companies were then announced and were awarded by Com.It.Es Vice-President of Zurich Anna Putrino.
