Daniel Risch, the new Head of Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, met with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, and Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer in Bern on Thursday, April 22, 2021.
During this first official visit of the Head of Government, who has been in office since the end of March, both sides acknowledged the close mutual ties and emphasized that cooperation is proving its worth even in times of crisis.

On the table: combating the pandemic and the economy

The discussions focused on current topics, including measures to combat the pandemic and economic policy measures to cushion the impact of the crisis.
Other topics included the European policy of Switzerland and Liechtenstein as well as economic policy issues.

The two countries also maintain close and efficient cooperation at the international level, in particular within the framework of EFTA and the UN, as well as within the International Criminal Court.
