Switzerland reacted quickly by offering its support to the Indian government, which gave its official approval on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
The Humanitarian Aid of the Confederation, part of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), has allocated one million Swiss francs to help the Indian population.
The amount will be used for the delivery, planned in the coming days, of oxygen concentrators and respirators in the Indian capital New Delhi, which is particularly affected by the current crisis.
This equipment will be distributed with the support of the Indian Red Cross, which is responsible for coordinating international aid.
