Nils Güggi to oversee Swiss foundations

Nils Güggi will take over on June 1, 2021 from Helena Antonio, who has headed the Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations (FCA) for seven years.
The young lawyer has worked for the Postal Mail and Telecommunications Surveillance Service of the Federal Department of Justice and Police since 2010.
He has been head of the Legal and Controlling Division for seven years. Previously he was editorial manager of Weblaw AG.

After studying law at the University of Bern, Nils Güggi earned an Executive MBA in 2010 and took continuing education courses in criminal procedure law and crisis communication.
His education, management experience and interest in effective supervision are ideal prerequisites for his new position. Now forty-three years old, Nils Güggi is married and the father of two children.

Former president will remain as expert witness at AVF

A lawyer at the AVF since 2004, Helena Antonio is leaving its leadership, which she had assumed in 2014, but will continue as an expert witness.

Attached to the General Secretariat of the Federal Department of the Interior, the AVF exercises federal supervision over approximately 4,700 charitable foundations operating nationally and internationally.
