There are still a few days left to register in Switzerland for the 2021 elections of the COMITES, the Committees of Italians Abroad, taking into account the fact that only those who have explicitly expressed their willingness to vote and have requested the diplomatic authorities to receive electoral material by mail will be allowed to vote.
Established in 1985, the COMITES are representative bodies of the Italian community, directly elected by compatriots living abroad in each consular district where there are at least three thousand Italians registered in the updated list referred to in article 5, paragraph 1, of Law 459/2001.

Voting will take place by mail and the electoral package will be sent exclusively to voters who have submitted an express request for inclusion in the electoral list for the elections of the COMITES, at least thirty days before the date set for voting.
