Schmidt and Mike Seidel as members of the PSI Executive Board.<br \/>\nProfessor Thomas J. Schmidt is a renowned expert in electrochemical energy storage and conversion. At PSI, he leads the Energy and Environment research area.<br \/>\nHe works at the Paul Scherrer Institute and has been concurrently appointed Professor of Electrochemistry at ETH Zurich since 2011.<br \/>\nProfessor Mike Seidel is a respected expert with an excellent network of international relationships in the field of accelerator technologies.<br \/>\nIn 2018, he took over as interim director of the specialist area of large research facilities at PSI.
