National Action Plan and fourth round of applications for financial support to prevent and combat radicalisation and violent extremism<\/em><\/h3>\n

As part of the implementation of the National Action Plan to Prevent and Combat Radicalisation and Violent Extremism (NAP), the Confederation supports projects by the cantons, municipalities, cities, universities and civil society through a special national incentive programme.<\/p>\n

The incentive program is funded by the Federal Council with an amount of CHF 5 million spread over a five-year period (2018-2023).
\nApplications for financial support for projects to be implemented in 2022 may be submitted from April 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021. Applications for funding for projects aimed at preventing forms of radicalization other than jihadism are strongly recommended.<\/p>\n

The Swiss people and cantons liquidate the burqa and niqab<\/strong><\/a>
\nThe Confederation has allocated over five years the necessary resources to support projects and programs aimed at combating radicalization and violent extremism and carried out by the cantons, municipalities, cities, universities and civil society.
\nThe relevant ordinance was approved by the Federal Council on May 16, 2018. To date, the resources made available under the incentive program have been used to support 35 projects from 2019 to 2021.<\/p>\n

People undergoing radicalization adopt increasingly extreme political, social, or religious views to the point where they are willing to resort to acts of extreme violence to achieve their goals.
\nThe NAP is not only concerned with the prevention of jihadist radicalisation, but with all forms of radicalisation and violent extremism.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the projects launched since 2018 and financially supported within the framework of the national incentive program are, for the most part, rarely aimed at preventing forms of radicalization other than jihadism.
\nFor this reason, applications for funding of projects aimed at the prevention of other forms of radicalization are strongly recommended.<\/p>\n

The national incentive program will be implemented until spring 2023. Applications for financial support for projects to be implemented in 2022 can be submitted to the Secretariat of the Swiss Integrated Safety Network from April 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021.<\/p>\n
