SRF Washington correspondent appointed by Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis to head the Department of Foreign Affairs’ media department<\/em><\/h3>\n

Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis has appointed Peter D\u00fcggeli, SRF correspondent from the United States, as the new head of communications of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
\nPeter D\u00fcggeli will assume his function on April 1.<\/p>\n

In the USA for Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen<\/h3>\n

Peter D\u00fcggeli is, since 2015, a correspondent in the United States for the broadcasting company Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF) and is primarily responsible for reporting political news from Washington.
\nPreviously, he worked for the current affairs program 10vor10 and as economic editor for the SRF news program.<\/p>\n

At the Federal Office for the Environment there will be Petra Zimmermann.<\/strong><\/a>
\nSwitzerland will have an ad hoc ambassador for… science<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Peter D\u00fcggeli, who is 50 years old, has two children and lives with his family in Zurich, studied history and English and holds a postgraduate degree from the Swiss School of Journalism MAZ.
