Yes of the Federal Council to the Oberburg bypass<\/h1>\n

To improve the road network in the Burgdorf agglomeration, the Federal Council is asking Parliament for an additional credit of 77 million Swiss francs as part of the PTA for the canton of Bern<\/h3>\n

In order to improve the road network in the Burgdorf agglomeration, the Federal Council is asking Parliament to allocate an additional credit of around 77 million Swiss francs for the Oberburg bypass as part of the Agglomeration Traffic Programme.<\/p>\n

This is what the Swiss government decided at its meeting on February 17, 2021.<\/p>\n

Swiss support for local traffic<\/h3>\n

As part of the Agglomeration Transport Programme (ATA) and through the Fund for National Roads and Agglomeration Transport (FOSTRA), the federal government supports measures to improve agglomeration transport throughout the country.<\/p>\n

With this message, the Federal Council is requesting an additional credit of CHF 77.13 million for the Oberburg bypass, a measure that is part of the third generation Burgdorf agglomeration programme.
\nThis means that the bypass will be co-financed by the federal government at the same contribution rate as the Burgdorf agglomeration program, i.e. 35 percent.<\/p>\n

96 million francs total credit<\/h3>\n

In addition to the CHF 19 million that has already been allocated, the federal government will therefore provide a total credit of more than CHF 96 million for the Burgdorf bypass.
\nThe Oberburg bypass is well integrated into the agglomeration program and is coordinated with the transport and settlement development of the region. With this drawing, the Federal Council implements the parliamentary decree of September 25, 2019 concerning the PTA.<\/p>\n
