In un tiepido mattino di primavera, proprio nel tempo della Pasqua<\/span><\/span>, un piccolo uovo cominci\u00f2 a tremare. Crack!<\/em> Il guscio si apr\u00ec e ne usc\u00ec un minuscolo pulcino giallo.<\/p>\n

\u201cPip! Pip!\u201d cinguett\u00f2, sbattendo le ali ancora deboli. \u201cMamma? Dove sei?\u201d<\/p>\n

La chioccia si avvicin\u00f2 subito e lo accolse sotto le sue ali calde. Il pulcino la guard\u00f2 con occhi pieni di meraviglia, ma improvvisamente un forte boato fece tremare l\u2019aria.<\/p>\n

\u201cMamma\u2026 cos\u2019\u00e8 quel rumore?\u201d chiese spaventato.<\/p>\n

La chioccia sospir\u00f2 e guard\u00f2 lontano, oltre il nido. \u201c\u00c8 la guerra, piccolo mio. Gli uomini, a volte, dimenticano come volersi bene.\u201d<\/p>\n

Il pulcino si strinse a lei. \u201cMa perch\u00e9 succede?\u201d<\/p>\n

Il pulcino sorrise e disse:

Il bambino allung\u00f2 le braccia e abbracci\u00f2 il piccolo pulcino. In quel momento, la pace scese sulla terra.<\/p>\n

The hen hurried over and welcomed him under her warm wings. The chick looked at her with eyes full of wonder, but suddenly a loud boom shook the air.<\/p>\n

\u201cMommy\u2026 what\u2019s that noise?\u201d he asked, frightened.<\/p>\n

The hen sighed and looked far away, beyond the nest. \u201cIt\u2019s war, my little one. Sometimes humans forget how to love one another.\u201d<\/p>\n

The chick snuggled closer to her. \u201cBut why does it happen?\u201d<\/p>\n

The hen gently embraced him. \u201cI don\u2019t know\u2026 but remember this: Easter teaches us that life is stronger than death, and that love can overcome even war.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those words warmed the chick\u2019s heart. He stayed silent for a moment, then lifted his little head with determination.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen I want to help! I want to carry this message to everyone!\u201d<\/p>\n

And so, with more courage than strength, he spread his wings and flew away.<\/p>\n

He flew over silent fields and wounded cities until he reached a destroyed hospital. There, among the rubble, a newborn baby was crying.<\/p>\n
