\nBabbo Natale, in punta di piedi<\/p>\n

Porter\u00e0 doni, sorprese e balocchi,
\nriempir\u00e0 di magia i tuoi occhi.\u201d
\nMa la bambina, con aria sospetta,
\ndisse alla mamma:<\/p>\n

\u201cLa mia compagna ha detto a scuola,
\nche Babbo Natale \u00e8 solo una favola.\u201d
\n\u201cNon darle ascolto, fidati, amore,
\nBabbo Natale esiste nel cuore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ma la piccina non volle aspettare,
\nvoleva la verit\u00e0 scoprire.
\nQuando la sera cala serena,
\nvicino al camino la trappola sistema.
\nGli spilli rubati al pap\u00e0 con cura dispone.<\/p>\n

Li mise vicino al camino acceso,

Era il nonno, coi piedi dolenti,

\u201cLo sapevo!\u201d grid\u00f2 con furore,
\n\u201cBabbo Natale sei tu, impostore!\u201d
\nIl nonno rispose, con voce infastidita:
\n\u201cMa cosa dici, piccola ardita?<\/p>\n

Io scendevo solo per mettere legna,
\ne tu mi hai fatto una trappola indegna!\u201d
\nNel mentre per\u00f2, un suono leggero,
\nscosse la stanza e il cuore sincero.<\/p>\n

Dal camino un uomo scese pian piano,
\ncon un sacco pieno e il sorriso in mano.
\n\u201cBuon Natale a tutti!\u201d grid\u00f2 con calore,
\nriempiendo la stanza di magico amore.<\/p>\n

Il nonno e la bimba, fermi, sbalorditi,
\nrestarono l\u00ec, come ghiacci scolpiti.
\n\u201cSu, a nanna adesso,\u201d disse il buon uomo,
\n\u201cNon dubitate, la magia \u00e8 un dono.\u201d<\/p>\n

E da quel giorno, tra luci e splendori,
\nla bimba impar\u00f2 i pi\u00f9 grandi valori:
\nche Babbo Natale, con la sua magia,
\nvive nei cuori di chi spera e confida.<\/p>\n

\nMummy said softly.
\n\u2018Tomorrow is Christmas, you will see
\nSanta Claus, on tiptoe<\/p>\n

He’ll bring gifts, surprises and baubles,
\nHe will fill your eyes with magic.\u2019
\nBut the little girl, with a suspicious air
\nsaid to her mother:<\/p>\n

\u2018My classmate said at school,
\nthat Santa Claus is just a fairy tale.\u2019
\n\u2018Don’t listen to her, trust me, love,
\nSanta Claus exists in the heart.\u2019<\/p>\n

But the little girl did not want to wait,
\nshe wanted the truth to find out.
\nWhen evening falls serenely
\nby the fireplace the trap set.
\nThe pins stolen from daddy she carefully arranged.<\/p>\n

She placed them by the burning fireplace,
\nthen went to bed with a suspended heart.
\nIn the middle of the night, a scream ripped
\nthe silence that reigned everywhere.<\/p>\n

It was Grandpa, his feet aching,
\namid screams, groans and stinging footsteps.
\nThe little girl, from her bed, burst out laughing loudly,
\nas the grandfather stumbled over his fate.<\/p>\n

\u2018I knew it!\u2019 she cried in fury,
\n\u2018\u2019 You are Santa Claus, you impostor!\u2019
\nGrandpa replied, in an annoyed voice:
\n\u2018What are you talking about, you little daredevil?<\/p>\n

I was only coming down to put wood down,
\nand you have laid an unworthy trap for me!\u2019
\nIn the meantime, however, a soft sound
\nshook the room and the sincere heart.<\/p>\n

From the chimney a man slowly descended
\nwith a sack full and a smile in his hand.
\n\u2018Merry Christmas to all!\u2019 he shouted warmly,
\nfilling the room with magical love.<\/p>\n

The grandfather and the child, standing still, stunned,
\nstood there, like sculpted ice.
\n\u2018Up, to bed now,\u2019 said the good man,
\n\u2018\u2019\u2018Do not doubt, magic is a gift.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

And from that day, amidst lights and splendours,
\nthe child learned the greatest values:
\nthat Santa Claus, with his magic,
\nlives in the hearts of those who hope and trust.<\/p>\n
