The writer, who lives in Switzerland but comes from Sicily, was honored at the ” Donne d’Amore International Prize” for her novel ” il coraggio \u00e8 femmina ” (Courage is female) and her poem ” Sui gradini di piazza di Spagna ” (On the steps of Piazza di Spagna)<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

In Rome, in the Protomoteca Hall of the Capitoline Hill, a ceremony was held with the awarding of the “International Donne D’Amore 2023 Prize,” dedicated to the female universe, which saw the triumph of writer Zaira Sellerio, originally from Sicily but long resident in Switzerland.<\/span><\/p>\n

The poetry “Sui gradini di Piazza di Spagna,” which the author wrote and dedicated to Isabella, who passed away in 1998 won first prize in the Poetry section.<\/span><\/p>\n

\neri l\u00ec a fare collane,
\nti guardavo sperando
\nche tu ti accorgessi di me.
\nI miei occhi s\u2019incontrarono con i tuoi,
\nun sorriso vedresti nei miei.
\n\u201cCosa scrivi sui chicchi di grano?\u201d
\n\u201cIl tuo nome, amore e felicit\u00e0!\u201d
\n\u201cVoglio girare con te per il mondo,
\nnon mi importa se sei un vagabondo,
\nti dar\u00f2 amore e vita,
\nprendo le mie cose,
\nportami con te.\u201d
\nMi portasti a dormire sotto i ponti,
\nvolevi la prova d\u2019amore
\ned io che volevo guarirti
\nmi trovai a drogarmi con te.
\nEro schiava di quella eroina
\nche fu la nostra rovina
\nregalavo anche il mio corpo
\nper avere un po\u2019 di quella polverina.

Her new novel “il coraggio \u00e8 femmina” (Courage is female)<\/strong>, held the 4th place in the Literature Novel section<\/strong> instead.<\/span><\/p>\n

The award ceremony was conducted and organized by Virginia Barrett,<\/strong> filmed by, among others, Claudia Cammarata of Cammarata WebTV<\/strong> with which Zaira Sellerio cooperates, and was attended by government personalities, those committed to “equal opportunity” and members of UNICEF.<\/span><\/p>\n
