{"id":227291,"date":"2023-02-22T21:47:35","date_gmt":"2023-02-22T21:47:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swissfederalism.ch\/terza-edizione-emna-rumantscha\/"},"modified":"2023-02-23T13:59:38","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T13:59:38","slug":"third-edition-emna-rumantscha-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swissfederalism.ch\/en\/third-edition-emna-rumantscha-open\/","title":{"rendered":"The third edition of the Emna rumantscha is open"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"contentHead\">\n<h1><span class=\"font-377884\">The third edition of the Emna rumantscha is open<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mod mod-nsbnewsdetails\">\n<h3><span class=\"font-377884\"><em>Inaugurated the third edition of the international week dedicated to the Romansh language (Emna rumantscha), promoted by the FDFA in collaboration with the Canton of Graub\u00fcnden and the Lia Rumantscha with the aim of raising awareness of the richness of multilingual Switzerland abroad.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-377884\">From Bern to Swiss representations around the world: the annual meeting with the Emna rumantscha is an opportunity for the FDFA to make our country&#8217;s plurality known abroad as well. &#8220;<em>In 2022, the two school classes from Savognin and Scuol that I met in Bern shared with me many ideas for promoting their language and culture. They showed that from our plurality come innovative ideas: this year we wanted to develop one in particular, together with our Swiss representations abroad<\/em>,&#8221; explains Federal Councilor <strong>Ignazio Cassis<\/strong>. In fact, it was precisely from the ideas of the young Romansh speakers that the idea of a cooking workshop, organized in collaboration with the <strong>Canton of Grisons <\/strong>and the <strong>Lia Rumantscha<\/strong>, was born for this third edition in Switzerland and around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Romansh?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Romansh<\/a> is one of the four national language of\ud83c\udde8\ud83c\udded.<br \/>It is spoken in the canton of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Grisons?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Grisons<\/a>.<br \/>Let&#39;s celebrate the week of Romansch language.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EmnaRumantscha?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#EmnaRumantscha<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2yd78NqSbB\">pic.twitter.com\/2yd78NqSbB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Swiss Mission to the EU (@SwissmissionEU) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SwissmissionEU\/status\/1628009438194946048?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 21, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"font-377884\">Chefs in Bern to bring Romansh culture abroad<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"font-377884\">The invitation to participate in the cooking workshop, under the guidance of Grisonian chef <strong>Andreas Baselgia<\/strong>, was accepted by representatives of the Swiss embassies in Italy, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom, as well as the ambassadors of Spain and Austria to Switzerland. Through traditional dishes and information about the Romansh world, the embassy will link Swiss plurality to the preservation of Wales&#8217; cultural heritage in the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-377884\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/swissfederalism.ch\/en\/rumantsch-a-language-to-discover\/\">Rumantsch: a language to discover<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-377884\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/swissfederalism.ch\/en\/week-italian-language-world\/\">Week of Italian Language in the World<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"font-377884\"><b>Learning Romansh in New York <\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"font-377884\">Other Swiss representations abroad have also taken steps to promote knowledge of the Romansh language and culture in their respective countries, particularly through meetings and digital content. The Consulate General of Switzerland in New York is organizing the first Romansh course in the city&#8217;s history. The course with <strong>Chasper Pult<\/strong> will take place in Brooklyn, where residents and interested people can learn more about the language and taste specialties from Switzerland.
