With the results of impact monitoring, the benefits of innovation promotion can be demonstrated with concrete figures and development can be tracked over time in the future. The results demonstrate the multiple effects of innovation promotion:<\/span><\/p>\n

Economic value creation in companies<\/span><\/h2>\n

Over a three-year period, one franc invested in innovation projects leads to an added value creation (e.g. increase in employment, growth in turnover) of 5.10 francs for companies. The 364 projects completed in 2018 created 1080 jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Radical and disruptive innovations in Switzerland<\/span><\/h2>\n

Innosuisse supports innovation projects that have high economic potential but would otherwise not have been implemented due to high risks. About half of the projects supported pursue radical or disruptive innovations. Every third innovation supported by Innosuisse represents a novelty on the world market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Supporting long-term cooperation<\/span><\/h2>\n

Innosuisse project funding strengthens knowledge and technology transfer between universities and companies. Collaborations often remain long-term: Nearly half of the companies are still working with their research partner three years after project completion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Developing digital solutions<\/span><\/h2>\n

The ongoing digital transformation is a powerful driver of innovation. Many companies are using digitization in their innovation projects to create completely new and innovative business models as part of their process, product or service innovations. 55% of projects completed in 2021 involve digital solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n
