The admissibility criterion already applies today, but in the future it will also be possible to apply it to cases that have not been heard by a national court. Its entry into force presupposes ratification by all 47 States Parties to the ECHR.<br \/>\nThis condition was fulfilled after Italy ratified the Protocol on April 21, 2021.
