Guy Parmelin took part in two roundtables (local institutions and social partners) focused on the next steps in the management of the COVID-19 emergency<\/em><\/h3>\n

On June 25, 2021, Guy Parmelin took part in two roundtables focused on the next steps in managing the health crisis.
\nThe President of the Swiss Confederation, Federal Councillors Alain Berset and Ueli Maurer as well as Chancellor Walter Thurnherr had the opportunity to discuss with the Presidents of the parties and parliamentary groups as well as the leadership of the Conference of Cantonal Governments (CoC). The second meeting was held with the social partners.
\nThanks to the improvement in the epidemiological situation, the increasing number of vaccinated persons and the announced easing of the vaccine, a certain return to normality in economic and social life can be expected in the coming months.
\nHowever, the outlook for autumn and winter remains uncertain.<\/p>\n

Discussion with the parties and the Conference of Cantonal Governments<\/h4>\n

President Guy Parmelin welcomed the chairmen of the political parties and parliamentary groups as well as the Deputy Secretary General of the Conference of Cantonal Governments to the Bernerhof.
\nFederal Councillor Ueli Maurer then informed those present of the general financial repercussions of the coronavirus crisis.
\nAlain Berset spoke about the current situation and the next steps in combating the epidemic.
\nInfections and hospitalizations continue to fall, and the vaccination campaign is proceeding apace; all persons who wish to be vaccinated should be able to do so in the coming weeks.
\nThe vaccines used in Switzerland also offer excellent protection against the more contagious Delta variant. According to the head of the Federal Department of the Interior (FDHA), further easing will take place in August if the situation continues to allow it.<\/p>\n
