The analysis revealed that the Cargo Sous Terrain system is both technically and economically manageable.<br \/>\nTransport units will move at a constant speed of 30 km per hour in three-lane tunnels.<br \/>\nGoods on pallets and containers will be automatically introduced or extracted from the system through vertical or horizontal access points, i.e. through real hubs.<br \/>\nCST will distribute the goods and raw materials to their final destination, packing them into environmentally friendly and low-noise vehicles that will run beneath the earth&#8217;s surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a title=\"La Svizzera avr\u00e0 un ambasciatore ad hoc per la\u2026 scienza\" href=\"https:\/\/swissfederalism.ch\/en\/switzerland-will-have-an-ad-hoc-ambassador-for-the-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Switzerland will have an ad hoc ambassador for&#8230; The feasibility study shows that the CST is an attractive investment and can therefore be financed by the private sector, all the more so because it gives great advantages from an environmental point of view, in particular by reducing CO2 and noise emissions.<br \/>\nThe amount of carbon dioxide released per ton of goods transported by the Cargo Sous Terrain system is 80 percent lower than by conventional transport.
